Explain why dormancy is more common in weeds than in tropical forest trees

– weed seed are small and have little food reserves thus can germinate only in  most favorable conditions

– have impermeable indehiscent fruit to release their seed

– have short life cycle and produce immature seed

– cold temperature required for germination is not common in grassland
