  • That fish mix randomly within the population.
  • That organisms disperse randomly within the geographical area of the population.
  • That change in the population size due to immigration, birth and deaths within the time of experiment are negligible.
  • Time allowed is enough for random mixing
  • Markings do not affect random mixing
