Describe the process of cyclic photophosphorylation

(i) Light strikes chlorophyll molecule PSI

(ii) an electron is excited, passes through electron carrier system and return to PSI

(iii)  in the process,  H+ builds up in the thylakoid space creating a gradient. Then the passage of H+ out of the thylakoid provides energy for synthesizing ATP.
