History – Examination and Revision Tips
Examination tips
- Choose and start answering from the easiest (familiar) question according to your understanding in order to gain momentum.
- Carefully take note of key words in the question and interpret them correctly in the introduction
- Each idea/point should be written presented on the first line of an independent paragraph. Describe each point with an example, and explanation
- Use simple and clear English and eligible handwriting
- Avoid using non-standard abbreviation
- Where questions a stand point (two sided question), press it in the right place. Preferably in the introduction and should re-affirm it in the conclusion.
- Write as many points as possible
- Answer each question the time apportioned to each question (45 minutes)
- Make a conclusion for each question.
Revision tips
Everyone revises differently but you can try this active revision technique called: look, cover, say, write, check, which essentially meant that you look over the content, cover over it, you say it out loud, you write it down and then you check it. Writing while revising is very important because it instill in your brain choice and spelling of words.
