• Reduces atrioventricular conduction (negative dromotropic action on AVN).
• Changes threshold for induction of atrial fibrillation (action on atrial conduction system).
• Reduces ventricular contractility (negative inotropic action on the ventricular myocardium).
• Lowers threshold for induction of ventricular arrhythmias (action on ventricular conduction system).
