Experiment to show that oxygen is produced during photosynthesis 

Method

1. The apparatus is filled with carbonated water to enrich it with carbon dioxide and placed in sunlight.
2. The gas is allowed to collect in a test tube.
3. When the gas is test, it relight a glowing splint showing that it is oxygen
4. A similar set up placed in the dark produces no oxygen.
