• Feeding of aphids and analysis of sap from aphid stylets indicate presence of organic material.
• Killing the back with steam/poisonous chemicals stops the process of translocation.
• Use of tracers’ technique such as radioactive carbon-14, if radioactive carbon-14 carbon dioxide is used in photosynthesis, products can be traced in photosynthesis.
