Explain why the boiling point of a hydrochloric acid solution is higher than that water and pure hydrogen chloride
Hydrochloric acid solution undergoes negative deviation because hydrogen bonds between water hydrogen chloride molecules are stronger than those between like molecules. This reduces evaporation tendency leading to high boiling points.
